Driver: Heikki Kovalainen
Team: Lotus Cosworth
Championship Position: 20th
----------------------------------------------
Best of the new teams, Kovalainen seemed to be happy and more settled then Lotus teammate Jarno Trulli. Finishing in the first two races Heikki was the main reason Lotus are best of the new teams. Notable performances at Japan finishing 12th and Korea finishing 13th, Heikki got the best out of the 2010 lotus car. He may of not scored any points this season but if Mike Gascoyne and the team build a competitive car, Heikki and Lotus will be fighting amongst Force India and Sauber.
Driver: Jarno Trulli
Team: Lotus Cosworth
Championship Position: 21st
-----------------------------------------------
The Italian seemed to get the worse of the luck out of him and his teammate, 8 retirements mainly mechanical failures but he did have good performances at Monaco and Japan. He usually got the better of Heikki in qualifying but in the races Heikki was stronger. If the 2011 Lotus is a solid midfield runner, Jarno will be scoring points if not he will probably leave the team. He got the most out of the car and he succeed on being best of the new teams/
Driver: Karun Chandhok
Team: HRT-Cosworth
Championship Position: 22nd
-------------------------------------------------
With Karun lasting only 10 out of the 19 races for not having enough sponsorship, The Indian driver was a fan favourite which finished consistently throughout. Only retiring twice he gave HRT 11th in the championship standings. A big debate is why didn't Bruno Senna get the boot instead of Chandhok, many say Bruno has just the 'Senna' name. Bruno did beat him in qualifying majority of the time which helped when trying to fight the Virgins and Lotus'. For sure most of the F1 fans will want Karun on the grid, since F1 arrives for the first ever Indian Grand Prix. Overall no one knows if he is the next Sebastian Vettel or Sakon Yamamoto, time will tell if he gets a decent drive next year.
Driver: Bruno Senna
Team: HRT-Cosworth
Championship Position: 23rd
----------------------------------------------
10 retirements out of 18 races, Bruno did his best in his rookie year, his best performances at Korea and Japan secured HRT's 11th place in the championship. Consistently beating teammates Karun Chandhok and Sakon Yamamoto in qualifying, he seems to have pace. But know one can tell in F110.
Driver: Lucas di Grassi
Team: Virgin-Cosworth
Championship Position: 24th
--------------------------------------------
A up and down year for the Brazilian, A good 14th place at Malaysia since he had a too small fuel tank for a few races at the start but mistakes throughout, crashing on the way to the grid in Suzuka and many other retirements throughout. Nearly always out-qualified by more-experienced driver Timo Glock. His second year in formula one would be better, he will be replaced by Jerome d'Ambriso. And most likely we will not see Lucas back in F1.
Driver: Timo Glock
Team: Virgin-Cosworth
Championship Position: 25th
------------------------------------------------
An interesting first year for the German, after failing to finish the first four races, he then went on to finish every race from Europe to Italy. He challenged the Lotus' for the top spaces on the back of the grid and more often or not he out qualified the green and yellow machines. The German will be hoping that the VR-02 will be more competitive for the 2011 campaign.
Driver: Sakon Yamamoto
Team: HRT-Cosworth
Championship Position: 26th
---------------------------------------------
A driver who shouldn't really be in F1, he has money that is all. Many say he the worst driver on the grid. Regularly qualifying P24 and finishing last. He will be lucky to be on the grid in the future.
Driver: Christian Klien
Team: HRT-Cosworth
Championship Position: 27th
--------------------------------------------
A great addition to the HRT team, out qualifying Bruno Senna on all the occasions he raced by over 0.5s, he shown the best of the HRT car, if he brings sponsorship to the team, he will be on the grid in 2011 and it will be deserved
