Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Review

The penultimate round of the 2010 calendar saw Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull racing take his fifth win of the season, this win would mean he would be this years champion. Before this race everyone thought that Ferrari's Fernando Alonso would win it but they were soon to be wrong.

Lights were out at the Yas Marina Circuit, Jenson Button had a superb start which got him up past Alonso into P3 with Vettel and Hamilton ahead of the 2009 world champion, not much happening on the first lap until Schumacher touched his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg which made the 7 time world champion to be facing the wrong way, Force India driver Tonio Luizzi collided with Michael and made sure both of them were out of the race, thinks triggered the safety car to appear,

Under the safety car many cars had pitted, Alguersuari, Petrov, Senna, Klien, among many more. When the safety car had came back in Vettel was into the distance with the two Mclaren's behind him. Later in the race Mark Webber pitted due to lack of rear end grip and high wear this stop made sure that Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso would pit- this disicion from the Ferrari team would prove costly.

Felipe Massa had an awful day as he couldn't get past Toro Rosso driver Jaime Alguersuari and Alonso couldn't get past Vitaly Petrov which lost him the title, the Saubers, Williams and Force India's who failed to score. Mclaren pair Button and Hamilton finished third and second respectivly with Rosberg, Kubica, Petrov, Alonso, Webber, Massa and Alguersuari rounding up the top 10.

Top 10 Result
1. Sebastian Vettel
2. Lewis Hamilton
3. Jenson Button
4. Nico Rosberg
5. Robert Kubica
6. Vitaly Petrov
7. Fernando Alonso
8. Mark Webber

The race wasn't exciting but the fact this was the last race of the season made it more so, a worthy champion in Sebastian Vettel with 5 Wins and an outstanding 10 Pole positions!

For sure the Ferrari boys, Mclaren and Mercedes boys will be hoping for glory next season but they have a tough season beating arguably the best driver on the grid.

We will see you in 17 weeks time for the Bahrain GP
