2010 Individual Drivers- 'The Big Four' Review

Driver: Sebastian Vettel
Team: Red Bull Renault
Championship Postition: 1st
--------------------------------------------
A worthy world champion in my opinion, 10 pole positons and five race wins is great record to have, his season started with mechanical issues at Bahrain and Melbourne which lost him a great deal of points. A great drive by him in Sepang saw him take the team's first 1-2 of the season, his next win would come in Valencia then Suzuka, Brazil and Abu Dhabi. The young german put in great performances and for sure he will be up there year in year out.

Driver: Mark Webber
Team: Red Bull Renault
Championship Position: 3rd
-----------------------------------------
Overall a great performance by the Australian, wins at Silverstone, Monaco, Spain and Hungary saw the australian be a fan favourite, but his form at the beginning and end of the season cost him alot, a DNF at the Korean GP and a collision with Lewis Hamilton at Melbourne saw Mark loose valuable points which could of won him his first drivers championship. This year was his best chance of winning the title but I think he will be up there next season

Driver: Lewis Hamitlon
Team: McLaren Mercedes
Championship Position: 4th
-----------------------------------------------
A positive year for the English man, wins at Spa, Montreal and Turkey saw him lead the championship but DNF's at Monza and Singapore saw his title challenge disappear, As for next season Lewis will be a firm favourite for the title and he will be back. Also another good thing for him, he has a good relationship with his teammate which could prove vital in seasons to come.

Driver: Jenson Button
Team: Mclaren Mercedes
Championship Position: 5th
-----------------------------------------
In my opinion, slightly disappointing from the 2009 world champion, early wins at Melbourne and Shanghai saw Jenson have an early lead but it never lasted, he seemed to struggle more in qualifying and perform in the races, to have any chance of the 2011 crown both must be of the highest standard.

Driver: Felipe Massa
Team: Ferrari
Championship Position: 6th
------------------------------------------
A poor season by the 2008 runner up, put in some good performances at Bahrain and Hockenheim, never really looked like challenging for pole positions or race wins but I am sure if he is at Ferrari next year he will fighting for first not sixth, overall a poor season but he will be back

Driver: Fernando Alonso
Team: Ferrari
Championship Position: 2nd
------------------------------------------
Runner up of this years championship, good for Fernando? He put exceptional performances at Monza and Singapore and luckier wins at Korea, Bahrain and Hockenheim, he did make some mistakes though, spinning at Melbourne, jump-start at Shanghai, crashing in Fp3 at Monaco, illegal overtake on Kubica at Silverstone and crashing at spa, but except these mistakes he was up there when most people ruled him out, for sure Fernando has shown who his number one at Ferrari but not in Formula One, Next year he will be challenging right at the top and be hoping to add to his two world titles.

Driver: Michael Schumacher
Team: Mercedes
Championship Position: 9th
---------------------------------------------
Poor season by the seven time world champion, he had decent performances at Barcelona, Turkey and Korean finishing fourth respectively, but some say most notably Eddie Jordan that he should of been sacked after his horrible display at the Singapore grand prix, if the car is good and the tyres suit him, he should be challenging for race wins and maybe the championship, but we will wait till then........

Driver: Nico Rosberg
Team: Mercedes
Championship Position: 7th
------------------------------------------------
Another solid and over performing season by Rosberg, few podiums and solid point finishes saw him finish 7th in this years championship, Nico will be hoping the Mercedes car will be alot better than it is this year's so he can fight for race wins and championship. Without a doubt Nico Rosberg is one of the top drivers on the grid, and he will trouble the Ferrari, Mclaren and Red Bull boys in 2011...

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Review

The penultimate round of the 2010 calendar saw Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull racing take his fifth win of the season, this win would mean he would be this years champion. Before this race everyone thought that Ferrari's Fernando Alonso would win it but they were soon to be wrong.

Lights were out at the Yas Marina Circuit, Jenson Button had a superb start which got him up past Alonso into P3 with Vettel and Hamilton ahead of the 2009 world champion, not much happening on the first lap until Schumacher touched his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg which made the 7 time world champion to be facing the wrong way, Force India driver Tonio Luizzi collided with Michael and made sure both of them were out of the race, thinks triggered the safety car to appear,

Under the safety car many cars had pitted, Alguersuari, Petrov, Senna, Klien, among many more. When the safety car had came back in Vettel was into the distance with the two Mclaren's behind him. Later in the race Mark Webber pitted due to lack of rear end grip and high wear this stop made sure that Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso would pit- this disicion from the Ferrari team would prove costly.

Felipe Massa had an awful day as he couldn't get past Toro Rosso driver Jaime Alguersuari and Alonso couldn't get past Vitaly Petrov which lost him the title, the Saubers, Williams and Force India's who failed to score. Mclaren pair Button and Hamilton finished third and second respectivly with Rosberg, Kubica, Petrov, Alonso, Webber, Massa and Alguersuari rounding up the top 10.

Top 10 Result
1. Sebastian Vettel
2. Lewis Hamilton
3. Jenson Button
4. Nico Rosberg
5. Robert Kubica
6. Vitaly Petrov
7. Fernando Alonso
8. Mark Webber
9. Felipe Massa
10. Jaime Alguersuari

The race wasn't exciting but the fact this was the last race of the season made it more so, a worthy champion in Sebastian Vettel with 5 Wins and an outstanding 10 Pole positions!

For sure the Ferrari boys, Mclaren and Mercedes boys will be hoping for glory next season but they have a tough season beating arguably the best driver on the grid.

We will see you in 17 weeks time for the Bahrain GP

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix preview "The Grand Finale"

F1 heads to Abu Dhabi the final round of 2010 F1 season. The fantastic Yas marina circuit!! the venue of yas Marina promises the epic show down as this season's championship is one of the greatest of all the times so I am sure that we can see some great sort of racing. The Yas Marina circuit is situated on Yas Island about 30 minutes away from capital UAE.

The F1 2010 world driver's championship would be settle at the Abu Dhabi, one of four men will be crowned World Champion: Ferrari's Fernando Alonso; Red Bull Racing's Sebastian Vettel or Mark Webber; or McLaren's Lewis Hamilton.

Fernando Alonso leads the world championship with 246 points, followed by Webber with 238, Vettel with 231 and Hamilton with 222.

With four drivers are still in with a chance of winning the WDC ahead of the final grand prix in Abu Dhabi on Sunday Ferrari's Fernando's Alonso is the most favorite to win the world title having the lead of eight points over his nearest championship rival Mark Webber..

Now as we look the the Yas Marina circuit which is featuring many long straights which would be the weakest point of Red bull but it would be the strongest point of Ferrari and McLaren. McLaren have also not given up hopes yet with Lewis Hamilton 24 points behind Alonso.he would need to win this week end and than everything depends on luck..

Clever Ferrari would be watching Red Bull weather they would apply team order or not, as the teams are still saying they they would not apply team order but today after 1st practice session Red Bull team principle Christian Horner said that they would not say to the driver to back off like Ferrari did in Germany but he is also sure that driver would bring best result for the team so its clear the they will use team orders in different way..

Current world champion Jenson Button is out of championship contention but he will do his best to help his team mate Lewis Hamilton.

On the other hand Renault chase of Mercedes for the 4th place in the constructors championship is well over but the battle is on among Force India and Williams. There is only one point separates the two teams so we can see a very good fight for the sixith place in the constructors championship.

Sauber is also looking forward for good race and so do Toro Rosso and for the new teams Lotus are hoping to secure the 10th place spot in constructors championship

Now at the end in our opinion Mclaren and Ferrari are the top two teams this weekend but we can't under estimate Red Bulls but pole position could be between four drivers, Our pole sitter would be Vettel or Hamilton and our race winner Vettel. But for the title, Fernando Alonso

Brazilian Grand Prix Review

A dominant performance by Red Bull saw there drivers take a 1-2 at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace circuit, this result meant that Red Bull would take the constructors championship for the first time.

A reminder of the starting grid ahead of the 2010 Brazilian Grand Prix:

1. Nico Hülkenberg (Williams-Cosworth)
2. Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull-Renault)
3. Mark Webber (Red Bull-Renault)
4. Lewis Hamilton (McLaren-Mercedes)
5. Fernando Alonso (Ferrari)
6. Rubens Barrichello (Williams-Cosworth)
7. Robert Kubica (Renault)
8. Michael Schumacher (Mercedes)
9. Felipe Massa (Ferrari)
10. Vitaly Petrov (Renault)
11. Jenson Button (McLaren-Mercedes)
12. Kamui Kobayashi (Sauber-Ferrari)
13. Nico Rosberg (Mercedes)
14. Jaime Alguersuari (Toro Rosso-Ferrari)
15. Nick Heidfeld (Sauber-Ferrari)
16. Vitantonio Liuzzi (Force India-Mercedes)
17. Timo Glock (Virgin-Cosworth)
18. Jarno Trulli (Lotus-Cosworth)
19. Heikki Kovalainen (Lotus-Cosworth)
20. Sebastien Buemi (Toro Rosso-Ferrari)
21. Lucas di Grassi (Virgin-Cosworth)
22. Christian Klien (HRT-Cosworth)
23. Adrian Sutil (Force India-Mercedes)
24. Bruno Senna (HRT-Cosworth)

The lights had gone out, the race was off..... Hulkenburg had a good start but Vettel's was even better the Red Bull driver was leading into the first corner with Hulkenburg and Webber closely behind, then Webber got past Hulkenburg at turn four, It couldn't of gotten any better for them. A great battle between Hamilton and Alonso was happening, Fernando did Hamilton down the main straight but then the Mclaren man cut back inside to take the place back at turn one. But what happened at turn four? Hamilton goes wide and Alonso is up to P4.

A great start to the Brazilian Grand Prix, the old master was back with his old tricks overtaking Jenson Button, his title ambitions were turning into thin air. Alonso had trouble getting past Hulkenburg with the young German defending very well, the Red Bull drivers pulling away quickly from Alonso and the rest of the field.

Lap 11 came with Jenson pitting for the prime tyres, which triggered Massa, Barrichello, Hulkenburg and others to pit, with Button pitting a lap less then the others he jumped alot of drivers. Massa's day got even worse when he pitted and one of his wheel's was loose and then had to pit again! Towards the front of the field Webber and Vettel were way clear of Hamilton and Alonso. The front runners pit but no change in the order; Vettel, Webber, Alonso and Hamilton the top four.

Alot later in the race, under-pressure Force India driver Tonio Luizzi crashed his car at turn two which brings out the safety car, Button, Hamilton and Massa pit under the saftey car, Felipe and Jenson pit for the option tyre and Hamilton another set of primes. Alot of drivers were out of position so it was hard for the drivers to now who to let through and who to fight with. Alonso starts to catch Webber but it was too late, Vettel crossed the line P1 and Webber P2 which gave Vettel his fourth win of the season!

Top 10 Result of the 2010 Brazilian Grand Prix
1. Sebastian Vettel
2. Mark Webber
3. Fernando Alonso
4. Lewis Hamiton
5. Jenson Button
6. Nico Rosberg
7. Micheal Schumacher
8. Nico Hulkenburg
9.  Robert Kubica
10. Kamui Kobayashi

So this meant realistically there was three drivers who have a good shot for the drivers championship, but who will it be? we will find out in a week's time at the Yas Marina Circuit for the 2010 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Brazillian Grand Prix Preview

The 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship moves to Brazil for its penultimate round, with a thrilling race and title showdown anticipated. The Brazilian Grand Prix, the second to last round of the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship, takes place on Sunday, November 7th at the Autodromo José Carlos Pace in Sao Paulo. The 4.309 km (2.67 miles) anti-clockwise track is the highest of the year at 800m above sea level and its inner city location at Interlagos, combined with the passion of the Brazilian fans, makes the circuit one of the most atmospheric venues of the year.

For each of the past five years, the world championship has been won in Brazil and this year world championship will set to settle in Brazil so its gonna be Ferrari's Fernando's Alonso winnig his 3rd championship title...Alonso doesn't expect to seal the deal in Brazil and remains very cautious But there's no denying that things are now looking rather good for him, with an 11-point lead in his pocket, more wins than anyone else this season, and the potential, even if the title is not clinched at Interlagos, to eliminate one, two or even three of his rivals before Abu Dhabi. The double champion said last week that now he has the points lead back at last, there's no need to look at the maths anymore - the only calculation that's important to him is that if he finishes ahead of his rivals, he'll eventually be the world champion, but  if he wins this weekend and and Red Bulls's Mark Webber Doesn't finished 4th or better than Alonso will be crowned champion in Brazil and for Hamilton he need to win  to stay in the championship and its certainly over for Button..

And if we look at the back from champion ship than its cat and dog fight between Renault and Mercedes but Mercedes is certainly looking to defend their 4th place in the championship and similar situation for Force India as Williams are hoping to to snatch 6th place from them.

And for the new teams HRT is running Christian Klien for final two races, its their last ditch to finish ahead of Virgins and Lotus but they want better reliability.

In my Opinion Red Bulls are very very strong this weekend but they need to do a good start and a better reliability if they want their dreams alive to stay in the championship but F1 Spy's money again goes to Hamiltion and Alonso and home hero Massa can't be under estimated.

F1 Spy's Top 5 Prediction (After FP1 and FP2)
1. Vettel
2. Webber
3. Massa
4. Alonso
5. Hamilton

It will be a very close qualifying session with five drivers in the hunt for pole position
